Belgray Bombers to Host Interactive Event to Help Mental Aspect of Sports at Bulldogs Sports Complex
The Belgray Bombers, a local baseball and softball organization, is hosting an interactive clinic to help hone the mental game of young players as Jenn Starkey, a teen leadership speaker, will make the trip to the Bulldogs Sports Complex on Wednesday starting at 6 pm to give tips, tricks, and secrets to getting better in the mental aspect of the game. Here's program director Paul Bernardini on why that part of the game is so important.
"The mental aspect of the game is just as important as your actual skills in playing because you can be the best player in the world, but if your heads not right, it's not going to do any good for you," Bernardini said. "So what we're hoping with this is trying to fill a void in this area with that and get somebody in here that can sort of help the youth with strategies and how to keep their heads in the game and become better leaders on and off the field. Give them more count for confidence and just make them perform better."
