The Rumble Ponies' Brett Baty has been recognized as the MiLB player of the month for July in the Eastern League.

Baty led the league with eight home runs, 27 RBIs, 66 total bases, plus a slugging percentage of .688 and an OPS of 1.123 in just the month of July. 

He also finished second in hits with 35, third in batting average (.365), fifth in on-base percentage (.435), and sixth in runs (17). 

At 22 years old, Baty was selected by the Mets in the 1st round (12th overall) of the 2019 MLB Draft, out of Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas.

The Rumble Ponies return home on Tuesday, August 9th to begin a six-game series with the Altoona Curve, the Double-A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
