After winning Section IV's inaugural flag football championship, the Patriots will head to Metlife Stadium on August 21 to play Section I's representative during halftime of the New York Giants' second preseason game.

The team was also recognized by Broome County Executive Jason Garnar as Binghamton High School Flag Football Day in Broome County.

"There's nothing better that can run through my mind right now," said junior quarterback Olivia Ackerson."I'm just so happy about all this and everybody else is too, so the feeling is great between all of us."

"Just watching their faces when they heard that news just makes me so happy because they're just gonna love going down, playing another school in front of however many people show up that day," said Binghamton head coach Vaughn Labor. "It's just going to be a memory that they're going to have forever and I love that they're going to be able to experience that because they've absolutely earned the ability to go down and do that."
