According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, a man remains in critical condition after being struck by a car Thursday night.


Police say that 63-year-old Musteata Teodor, was crossing Route 12a towards Matthew Dr, in the Town of Chenango when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling east on Route 12a.


After investigating, the police found out that Musteata crossed the roadway against the crosswalk signal light and into the path of traffic.


The accident is still under investigation and no tickets have been issued at the time.
