The halls of the Binghamton Club were decked with holiday spirit. This is because the Binghamton Sertoma Club was there wrapping hundreds of presents for three local families.

The Sertoma Club has been buying and wrapping gifts for families in need for over two decades. It's part of the Adopt-A-Family program, in partnership with Lourdes Hospital.

This year club members raised more than $1,700. This contribution was matched by the Sertoma Club. Therefore, more than $3,600 helped to buy presents including toys, clothing and gift cards.

"I think that this is just a great opportunity to help supplement those who are in need. These families do come to us prequalified by the social workers, largely at the hospital. And we need to make sure that they get the chance to enjoy the holidays as well," said Sheryl Dalton, Club Member of Binghamton Sertoma Club.

Lourdes distributes the wrapped items. A total of 24 family members will receive the gifts this holiday season.
