Today's sunshine and 70 degrees may not have you thinking about the flu but health officials say now is the time to get your shot.

The Broome County Health Department held a flu vaccine clinic at the Broome County Public Library on Court Street in Binghamton today. The Centers for Disease Control recommends annual flu vaccines for everyone who is at least six months of age and older.

"Pregnant women, small children, and people with certain medical conditions, the very young and the very old need to be immunized because they're more apt to develop complications from influenza," said Registered Nurse Susan Blythe of the Broome County Health Department.

If you missed today's clinic, you can still call the Broome County Health Department and ask when the next clinics will take place. You can call 778-2862.
