Many are surprised to find out in recent days that it has been twenty years since the verdict in the OJ Simpson trial was read in California. We spoke with a local attorney, Paul Battisti, about the case.

Of course the trial of the century had a controversial ending. Football star, actor and broadcaster OJ Simpson was acquitted of murder charges against him in the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

Battisti says that most people remember the defense's argument that since OJ Simpson's gloves did not fit, there was reasonable doubt that he had committed the crime.

We asked if this had any impact on the law practice locally. Battisti said that anytime a major trial like this takes place, people in the profession take note.
