The meeting time and place of a subcommittee of the Vestal School Board is raising questions among some vestal parents.

Thursday the procedural subcommittee of the board held a public meeting at Vestal's United Methodist Church. A parent we spoke to off camera after the meeting expressed frustration the group met at 11 a-m when few parents who work could attend, and also questioned why the group wouldn't meet at one of the District's seven schools.

The District responded in a statement saying,"today is not the first time that this has occurred. The Superintendent stated publicly on numerous occasions that this is a decision to be made by the Board of Education in terms of location, But in the past has cautioned the board about meeting in a sectarian location.”
