The state's Department of Environmental Conservation has laid out it's plan to clean up a contaminated site in the Town of Fenton.


The DEC says it's investigation of the former triple cities metal finishing location found trichloroethylene or TCE and a variety of metals. The plan includes excavating contaminant sources and disposing of them off site. Also, a system to prevent migration of vapors into the building from groundwater will continue to be operated, maintained, and monitored. the DEC will also monitor the effectiveness of the plan moving forward. The cost of the project is $189,000.
