Have you ever thought about the effects of pesticides on vitamin C levels in fruit? Or how ocean temperatures affect hurricane strength?

A science fair was held tonight at Johnson City High School where one hundred thirty students showed off their work on problems ranging from how different music styles impact your heart rate to hydrogen fuel. The students said that many of their projects were relevant to real world issues.

" Stuff that's very applicable and it's very surprising how many good ideas come from a science fair like this that if people paid a little more attention to, the world can change for the better," said eleventh grade student, Kyle Begley.

The students were judged on the quality of their hypothesis and their procedure as well as the presentation of their problem.
