An Endwell man is killed after a head-on crash in the Town of Triangle on Friday. 

State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, Broome County Sheriff’s Department, Triangle Fire Company, and the Department of Transportation responded to the scene just after 5:30 pm near the 3900 block of State Highway 206.

21-year-old Kimberly Burdick of Whitney Point was traveling Westbound and passing two vehicles when she approached two motorcycles traveling eastbound.

The first motorcyclist was able to swerve and lay his bike down. He was sent to Wilson Hospital by Broome Ambulance for life-threatening injuries and released.

The second motorcyclist, 49-year-old Shane Poklemba, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Burdick was with an infant and a 2-year-old at the time of the crash. They were not injured. 

The investigation is ongoing. State Police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
