The Farmhouse Brewery Eats Local and Supports Local With Food Competition

Every month at The Farmhouse Brewery the community comes together to make a homemade dish and vote on the best one. For January, people in the community whipped up their best mac and cheese dishes. 

"Marty the owner's all about being local and what's more local than people making mac and cheese," said bartender Michael Holiavko. 

The competition featured 13 different types such as French Onion and Buffalo Mac. Proceeds supported the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.  

 "People come in, they make a dish, and as you can see a lot of people are trying them out, and then we vote and we get a winner," said Holiavko. 

The winner receives bragging rights and a growler of beer. 

Next month's competition will be a chili cook-off and support a different local charity.
