Bubbie's Boozey Brunch Benefits Binghamton's Identity Youth Center

Posted: Updated:

A drag brunch at the Binghamton Jewish Community Center on Sunday served mimosas and sass with performances by local drag performers.

"Who doesn't love a good show," said JCC Adult and Youth Coordinator and Drag Performer Peaches Éclaire.

Éclaire says the center is hoping to raise $1,000 to support adult programming at the JCC, with 10 percent of the proceeds going towards Binghamton's Identity Youth Center which provides a safe space and resources for LGBTQ youth.

"The goal of this event is to bring people who haven't been to the JCC to the JCC because we get people who don't really come through that much and they don't really know what we are," said ÉClaire.

This was the third year of the drag brunch, which organizers say has been growing each year.
