Ivory Christmas Brings Holiday Spirit to Washington Street

Posted: Updated:

'Gorgeous Washington Street' came alive with the holiday spirit tonight, Nov. 30.

Christmas lights and pianos lined the street as spectators watched the Ivory Christmas performers.

Local carolers, actors, and high school groups added to the entertainment. There was even a special visit from Santa.

"We've been here before and we thought they did a good job with it and we heard they were gonna kick it up a notch this year. The lights on the trees are really cool, the music's cool, and there's some good food and stores here," said Jake Armstrong.

The event has grown since last year.

"Even the Dickens Christmas here is something new," said Shane Armstrong.

The event aims to bring more people to revitalize downtown and is a pre-show to the Binghamton Philharmonic.
