VESTAL HOUSE FIRE UPDATE: Five Residents Home When Fire Broke Out

Broome County Fire investigators have told Fox 40 that five out of the six residents were in the home at 101 Mark Court when a fire broke out Tuesday evening.

Authorities have confirmed that no injuries were sustained. 

Investigators believe the fire started in the rear of the house, possibly  under the deck.

The cause of the fire has been ruled undetermined due to the extent of the damage.

One person escapes without injury after flames engulfed a home in the town of Vestal Tuesday evening, according to Vestal Fire. 

Crews responded to 101 Mark Court around 5:50 p.m. after multiple reports of house fire. 

According to initial reports, flames could be seen soaring over the home. Multiple roads were blocked off to assist fire crews. 

Vestal Fire told Fox 40 that the fire started on the deck and that the home appears to be at a total loss. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
