Owego Senior to Play Basketball for Penn StatePosted: Updated:
Owego Senior Kaci Donovan signed her National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Division I Penn State. Donovan has been a star at Owego, she currently holds the school record for points in a game of 35 which she's done twice. She is 2nd all-time in points and 4th in assists with a full season still to play. She's a star off the court as well as a member of National Honor Society and volunteering her time at the Broome County Council of Churches, the Tioga Boys and Girls Club and Galisano Children's Hospital. Donovan says committing to become a Nittany Lion is a dream come true.
"Penn State has always been a dream school of mine," says Donovan. "My dad went there, I had a lot of family that went there. It's in my blood it's always been there. My dad took me to my first game when I was negative 10 days old."
Donovan is unsure of what she'll be majoring in but she says that academics come first and Penn State provides a wide variety of opportunities on that front.
