Candor Comes Alive For 21st Annual Fall Fest

Posted: Updated:
CANDOR, N.Y. -

The Town of Candor comes alive with almost 30 events for all ages held throughout the town this weekend.

Book sales, woodcarving competitions, craft fairs, and a Fall Fest party were part of the activities that spread from Catatonk's Bostwick Auction and up through Candor.

Though this is Candor's 21st Fall Fest, Catatonk Valley Woodcarvers have held their carving show during this weekend at the Candor Fire Station for 29 years.

President of Catatonk Valley Woodcarvers Roger Westgate said the club started with 7 people in his living room and has grown to 70 members since.

"The first couple of years we had like 1,500 to 2,000 people on the weekend and then the chamber had the idea to start a fall festival and we agreed with them," said Westgate.

A list of all the fall festivities can be found on the Candor Chamber of Commerce website here.
