"Ava's Little Heroes" Donates to Local Non-Profit

Posted: Updated:

A month long fundraising campaign through Animal Adventure Park ended up raising over $42,000 for the Helping Celebrate Abilities program in Johnson City. The 4th annual "Ava's Little Heroes" Campaign originally set a goal to raise $20,000 throughout the month of September, which has since been doubled with donations still pouring in.

Jordan and Colleen Patch are the owners of Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY. Their oldest daughter Ava suffered complications from brain surgery to get rid of a cyst when she was just a baby. From this, she was diagnosed with a rare form of Epilepsy called Aicardi Syndrome.

The Patch Family was originally inspired from the love and support of close family and friends when the news was first broken. Ava currently receives therapies and services from the HCA, so it was a perfect fit for this years campaign to directly benefit the non-profit.
