The Owego Indians played host to the Oneonta Yellow Jackets. A big night for the Indian School District as it was their homecoming.
The Indians jumped out to a big lead 27 to 0 lead going into half time.
The Yellow Jackets started with the ball in the second half and drove all the way down to the Owego 12 before a bad hand-off exchange between quarterback Graham Wooden and Dalton Wells causes a fumble and the Indians recovered.
Following Owego possession, they marched all the way down the field and added to their lead, a touchdown by Nick Wasyln on a run up the middle from the Oneonta 3. That touchdown capped off an 8 play 88-yard drive for the Indians.
Owego goes on to defeat Oneonta 36 to 7. The Indians will play Waverly next week as Oneonta will play Norwich.
