University Students Give Back to Honor 9/11 Victims

VESTAL, NY -

Binghamton University students are remembering the victims of 9-11 by doing good deeds for everyone who lost their lives that day.

The Rohr Chabad Center for Jewish Student Life and Hillel held their Mitzvah Marathon, by making sandwiches for a local homeless shelter, donating money and canned goods to CHOW, and donating blood.

Every good deed was displayed at the spine on campus, and also had the pictures of BU alumni that died during 9-11

Amanda Heisler, the Chabad Executive Board, said "I think it's important to remember the victims and the lives that they lost and to be able to do good things in their memory so that we can live on through them..."

Hannah Bartell, President of Hillel, said "It can be seen as such a dark day but it's a really important and meaningful opportunity to bring light into this world..."

The clubs have been doing this memory wall event since 2002.
