Six Arrested For for Breaking Into Cars In the Town Of Chenango

TOWN OF DICKINSON, N.Y. -

The Broome County Sheriff’s  detective division arrested six people yesterday as a result of a month-long comprehensive, investigation.

 

 The investigation after receiving numerous reports of persons entering unlocked vehicles stealing personal property during the overnight hours, specifically in the Chenango Bridge, Hillcrest and Upper Front St. areas.

 The Sheriff’s Office also received surveillance video footage and tips through our social media accounts from private citizens which proved to be beneficial and aided the investigation.

Enough evidence and probable cause was developed to submit an application for a search warrant seeking stolen property at a residence located at 71 Grant Road in the Town of Chenango.

Upon execution of the search warrant, a loaded Ruger LCP .380 caliber handgun, as well as some other miscellaneous, but, identifiable property was located and recovered. A small amount of ecstacy and Adder-all, both controlled substances, were also located.

 

The following people were arrested for the indicated offenses.

 

Jayden M. Howe, 17 years of age 84 Murray St. Binghamton, NY Criminal possession of stolen property 5th

 

degree Warrant for Violation of Probation

Carter A. Perry, 20 years of age 71 Grant Road, Binghamton, NY Grand Larceny 4th degree, 2 counts

Malinda R. Tuttle, 24 years of age 71 Grant Road, Binghamton, NY Criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree

Thomas J. Gumaer, 24 years of age 71 Grant Road, Binghamton, NY Criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree

Justin Gumaer, 18 years of age 71 Grant Road, Binghamton, NY Criminal possession of a firearm Criminal possession of stolen property 4th degree Criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree

Crystal P. Green, 18 years of age 71 Grant Road, Binghamton, NY Criminal possession of a firearm Criminal possession of stolen property 4th degree Criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree

 

All six persons were taken to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Correctional facility for the Central Arraignment part Court to be arraigned on their respective charges.
