Franklin, N.Y. -

New York State Police at Oneonta continue to investigate a serious crash that has left two teens in serious condition.

On Thursday, at approximately 4:31 p.m., troopers responded to Walley Road in the town of Franklin.

Troopers located a 1996 Chevy pick-up truck with a 17-year-old male driver and 14-year-old male passenger crashed into a tree.

They determined speed was a contributing factor when the 17-year-old lost control of the vehicle around a curve on Wally Road, spun off the roadway and into a tree.

Both occupants were transported by LifeNet to Albany Medical Center.

The accident remains under investigation.
