Binghamton Bus Station Stabber Indicted For Attempted Murder

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

A Broome County Grand Jury handed up a three-count indictment on Friday against the man accused of stabbing and seriously injuring a homeless man at the Greater Binghamton Transportation Center in June. 

According to the indictment, it is alleged Saquawon D. Linton, 23, did attempt to cause the death of another man at the bus station, located at 81 Chenango Street in Binghamton, by means of a knife on June 24, 2019. 

Linton is indicted on the following charges: 

  • Attempted Murder, in the second degree, a Class B Felony
  • Assault, in the first degree, a Class B Felony
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class E Felony
