Binghamton Weapons and Drug Arrest

A Binghamton man is facing felony weapons charges after police executed a search warrant at an Ely Street home on Thursday. 

Willie C. Mims, 52, was arrested for after members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force searched 62 Ely Street in the City of Binghamton. Police also charged Mims with criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Police say they recovered the following:

- 3 grams of crack cocaine
- Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun
- Smith & Wesson loaded .40 caliber handgun
- Remington 870 12 gauge shotgun
- ammunition, bulletproof vest
- a digital scale used to weigh narcotics

Mims was arraigned Friday morning in Binghamton City Court and was taken to the Broome County Jail without bail.
