BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

Sometimes a little gesture can go a long way.

During the month of June, Subaru and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) teamed up to spread hope, love and warmth by donating blankets to cancer patients at Lourdes Hospital.

Subaru retailers also had a "Loves to Care" showroom display set up through out the month of June where customers could fill out a message of hope card offering support and strength to those battling cancer.

The cards and blankets were delivered Friday to Lourdes Oncology Department.

"It's a small gesture but the blanket represents comfort, warmth, and fighting the situation. Cancer affects all of us it effects every family me, all of us," said Stacy Arroyo, Suburu Brand Administrator.

Arroyo said that Suburu has donated over 135,000 blankets since 2015  to hospitals across the country.
