HARPURSVILLE, N.Y. -

Animal Adventure welcomes its newest species, the Chilean flamingos, to the park on Tuesday.

The park said that over the weekend the flamingos made themselves at home in their new exhibits.

The flamingos have been with the park for quite some time, arriving as chicks in October 2018, according to Animal Adventure.

The flamingo flock includes three females named Rose, Coral, and Rouge and one male named Pinky

The Chilean flamingo is currently listed as a "near threatened" species, likely being classified as "threatened" in the near future as populations decline due to environmental impacts and human encroachment.
