Chenango Valley Seniors Take a Stroll Down Memory Lane in 3rd Annual Senior Walk

Posted: Updated:

Chenango Valley's Class of 2019 took a stroll down memory lane on Friday as a part of the District's 3rd annual "Senior Walk".

Seniors spent Friday morning walking up and down the halls of their former schools in their caps and gowns.

The three schools that took part in the Senior walk were Chenango Middle School, Port Dickinson Elementary and Chenango Bridge Elementary.

Students at Chenango Bridge Elementary gave the seniors a super send-off, lining the hallways from the entrance to the second floor, high fiving and cheering on the Class of 2019 as they walked by.

It took three busloads to get the over 100 Chenango Valley seniors to each school throughout the morning.

The goal of the senior walk is to inspire the younger generation of C-V students to work hard in school so that someday it will be them walking down those hallways as they turn the page onto the next chapter of their life.

Natalie Lehr, Class President for the Class of 2019 said, " I heard one of the kids say that could be us one day and I think that's just great".

Lehr also said, "It's kinda crazy like seeing all the young faces, that used to be us so its like crazy to see that and knowing that, that used to be us and now that we're here and going off to college or getting a job or going into the military it's just really emotional".
