Rumble Ponies Fall in Nail Biter to Portland

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

A five-run sixth inning put the Rumble Ponies ahead of Portland, but the Sea Dogs came back to end the series with a win for a weekend sweep.

The sixth inning was marked by a two-run double by Ali Sanchez, and a Jason Krizan single to take the lead. Will Toffey tripled and doubled, drove in a run and scored one for Binghamton.

Sunday's game was the annual Sock Out Cancer Game, complete with a parade of cancer survivors and their families, and players wearing rainbow striped socks.

The Rumble Ponies begin a six game road trip on Tuesday.
