Police departments from all over the Southern Tier laced up their sneakers for a good cause at this year's seventh annual Police Week Charity Basketball Tournament.
The boys in blue came together to raise money for Jackson Vandermark, the four-year-old son of a Johnson City Police Officer. Jackson was diagnosed with Shone's Syndrome and has required multiple heart surgeries, receiving a heart transplant in New York City.
"Most of us aren't very good at basketball, but it's about being a part of the thin blue line, and being a part of the police family," said Deputy David Schoonover of the Tioga County Sheriff's Department. "It's about helping out one of our own."
