Sam Haggerty got the call to Binghamton after spending his entire professional career with the Cleveland Indians organization. Now, he's making a huge impact for the Rumble Ponies in the short time he's been in the Mets organization.

A utility player, manager Kevin Boles has Haggerty playing multiple positions including second and third base, shortstop, and center field. Offensively, Haggerty has been moved around the lineup as needed, but did spend a considerable amount of time leading off.

"He's on a mission to be a big leaguer," said Boles. "He could be a great utility guy in the big leagues one day."

He hopes his consistency will improve during his time in Binghamton.

"You play 140 games, it's all about getting in the rhythm," said Haggerty. "It’s the daily things you do, the mindset when you walk into the clubhouse, the mindset when you step on the field."
