The 104-year-old fountain is still undergoing restoration at Robinson Iron in Alabama and is almost finished and ready to be brought back home.

The Excavation work is expected to be completed this week and once that is done a new concrete foundation and fountain pool will be poured.

As the finishing touch to the project stamped concrete in the shape of a Maltese Cross will surround the fountain honoring Owego's five Fallen Firefighters and a "Memorial Brick Walkway" will be placed.

The Owego Hose Team is expecting the project to be finished yearly summer of this year barring any "unforeseen issues".
