Binghamton University Baseball has High Hopes for 2019 Conference Schedule

VESTAL, N.Y. -

Just one year after finishing their season with an uncharacteristic losing record, Binghamton University baseball head coach Tim Sinicki expressed his excitement for his team to kick off America East play.

"We've been on the road a lot and we've learned a lot about our team," said Sinicki. "We've learned what our strengths are and we've learned some roles for guys, but this is what means most to our guys, the conference part of the schedule."

The Bearcats have won six America East regular-season titles in the last 12 years, including two in the last three years.

"Last year didn't go as we wanted it to, being picked as a favorite and not finishing where we wanted to," said conference standout pitcher Ben Anderson. "This year a lot of guys are excited and ready to get going."

The Bearcats begin conference play in a doubleheader on Sunday, hosting the University of Maine Black Bears.
