Marathon's Effort Not Enough In 3 Point Semifinal Loss
Binghamton, N.Y. - The Marathon Olympians entered their Class D semifinal game against Harrisville as the only Section IV boys team left in the state tournament. They also looked to win the programs first ever state semifinal game. Unfortunately their efforts came up short after going 22-for-53 from the field, shooting 41.5% in their 68-65 loss to the Pirates.
Harrisville's shooting wasn't a lot better, but Schmitt was hard to contain on offense, leading all scorers with 30 points.
