Hundreds Flood Church of the Holy Family Lenten Fish DinnerPosted: Updated:
Hundreds of people lined up at the Church of the Holy Family in Endwell Friday night for the church's second Lenten Fish Dinner of the lent season.
In the Catholic religion, meat cannot be eaten on Friday's during the 40 days of Lent which is why the church is serving fish.
You can either sit in and eat or drive up and take your fish to go.
Tonight's event was so busy, the church opened two different drive-through lines.
Fish is served fried or baked and it comes with a side of macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, applesauce, and a homemade dessert.
Other dinners guests can eat include fried shrimp or macaroni and cheese dinners.
Todd Trencansky, Fish Diner Chair Person says "Last week we did over 1,400 this week we're looking for over 1,400 dinners"
