The City of Binghamton was gearing up for St. Patrick's Day by raising the Irish Flag high over City Hall.
The Ancient Order of Hibernians sang the Irish National Anthem as the orange, white, and green flag was pulled up the flag pole.
The order says it's important that the flag is flying above the city this weekend because of how interwoven the Irish Community is with the city.
John Walker, President of the Men's Division of AOH Broome County, said "Irish immigration to this country is amazing especially here in Broome County...
The Irish is a very very strong ethnic organization and many of our ancestors help develop this great community..."
The order also puts on the St. Patrick's Day Parade which has been going on for 52 years.
