IHOP Serves Up Free Pancakes For A Cause

Posted: Updated:

It was a busy parking lot and full tables at the Vestal Parkway IHOP on Tuesday during the franchise's annual Free Pancake Day. The eatery is serving up free short stacks in exchange for donations in any amount to the Children's Miracle Network. Those funds from the Vestal location will go to Golisano Children's Hospital in Sryacuse to assist families with medical costs, and transportation and lodging.

"We all have friends, loved ones, you know, people that we know that have had to go through this and that we can do our little part to our community and help out then that's what we're ready to do," says the Vestal IHOP's General Manager Melissa Malo.

Malo says it's all hands on deck today and she even has some volunteers helping out. The restaurant will continue to serve free pancakes until 7pm on Tuesday night.
