New York - The New York Giants found a taker for Olivier Vernon's contract and it's a pretty good one. Nearly three years to the day after signing him to a significant free agent contract, the New York Giants are trading linebacker Olivier Vernon.
The Giants traded the defensive end to the Cleveland Browns for guard Kevin Zeitler. According to the NFL Network, The Giants are also sending the No. 132 overall pick (fourth round) to Cleveland and getting the No. 155 overall pick (fifth round) in return.
The swap helps the Giants look to build a horrendous offensive line with a Pro Bowler and one of the best guards in the NFL. Zeitler has a base salary of $10 million in 2019 and is under contract through 2021. New York also re-signed center Jon Halapio on Friday.
