The Agency is Looking for Development Partners for Former BAE SitePosted: Updated:
The former 27 acre BAE site at 600 Main Street in the Town of Union is seeking development partners.
The Agency has been working on identifying feasible redevelopment uses for the former BAE site.
For now, their vision is to turn the lot into a mixed-use project including market-rate apartments, commercial ground floor uses, and a four-story hotel.
The Agency has released an (REI) Request for Expressions of Interest, meaning they're open to listening to ideas from developers about what should go into the former BAE Site.
One of the biggest problems about the site is the potential for flooding, so with the help of a feasibility study and 8 to 10 months of studying the site, The conceptual site plan includes requirements to bring the development site out of the flood plain.
Stacy Duncan, Deputy Director Community & Economic Development at The Agency says ", We are very excited to begin this next critical phase of the redevelopment of 600 Main St".
