Binghamton Zoo hires Executive Director

The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park  announced Phillip Ginter as its new Executive Director, effective March 25.

Phillip is a lifelong resident of Broome County, with a broad background in the local non-profit community including HealthLinkNY, Broome County Arts Council, and the United Way of Broome County.

He has experience in grant management, program development, strategic visioning and community engagement will complement the existing animal care team.

Binghamton Zoo members and visitors will be able to meet Phil on Grand Opening Day, April 20th and Members Only Night, April 27th.

Weather permitting, the Binghamton Zoo will be open on the weekends only from 10:00 am – 3:00pm starting March 16th. Grand Opening is set for April 20th and 21st, sharing the weekend with the annual Eggstravaganza event, a special egg hunt throughout the zoo for families.
