Carmody, Moon And Ramil Receives AE All-Conference Awards

Vestal, N.Y. - Senior forward Rebecca Carmody and junior guard Kai Moon have each earned second-team all-conference honors from the America East. In addition, Carmody was named to the America East All-Defensive Team while freshman and Binghamton native, Annie Ramil was chosen to the conference's All-Rookie Team.

Carmody has been playing consistent basketball all season for the Bearcats. Leading the in basically every single category. Carmody currently ranks eighth in the America East in scoring (13.0 ppg.), first in rebounding (8.3 rpg.), fourth in assists (3.2 apg.) and No. 10 with 1.6 steals per game. She finished the regular season with a team-best eight double-double and reached the 20-point mark in scoring twice.

This marks the first time in her career that Carmody has earned all-conference honors.

Moon, who was named to the third team last year, ranked second on the team with 12.8 points per game. She was also tops on the team with an .821 free throw percentage and 1.8 three-point field goals per game.

Ramil, meanwhile, ranked fourth on the team with 7.7 points per game and was third with 4.8 rebounds per game. She was named the America East Rookie of the Week on Feb. 4.

Binghamton (12-17) is the No. 5 seed in the upcoming America East Tournament and travels to No. 4 Albany for a 7 p.m. game on Wednesday.
