Broome County Librarian Spends Morning Speaking with Johnson City Students

Posted: Updated:
JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. -

On Wednesday, Broome County Public Youth Services Librarian Kelsey Matoushek visited 6th and 7th graders at Johnson City Middle School to talk to students about how they can become more familiar with what public libraries have to offer.

Matoushek provided students with information about after-school, weekend and summer programs offered by public libraries.

The goal of the discussion was to let students know that they can catch up, keep up, or even get ahead of their education during hours that they aren't in school.

Students also were able to take part in hands-on activities with Makerspace and STEM items.
