Man Arrested After Burglarizing Pizzeria

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -

A Binghamton man is charged with Burglary after police investigations identified him as the suspect involved in a burglary at Oakdale Pizzeria. 

Binghamton police responded to the restaurant, located at 47 Court Street, Tuesday morning after a burglary had occurred there overnight. 

Police investigations determined the suspect entered the business through an access door shortly before 6 a.m. and stole a number of electronics and cash before fleeing the area by foot.

The suspect was located in the area of Thorp and Mathers Streets late Wednesday night by the Binghamton Police Community Response Team (CRT).

The suspect was identified as Damon D. Jones, 33, of Binghamton. 

Jones was held over night in the City Police Lock-Up for arraignment in Binghamton City Court Thursday and remanded to Broome County Jail.
