Binghamton University Swimming and Diving Teams Sweep on Senior DayPosted: Updated:
The Binghamton Swimming and Diving teams ended their regular season this afternoon on their Senior Day. The Bearcats hosted the St. Bonaventure Bonnies in their final dual meet of the regular season. The seniors ended their final regular season in impressive fashion. The women defeated the Bonnies 159-141 finishing the regular season 7-1, while the men won 155-145 to finish 4-1, the best-combined records during the program's 18-year Division I history.
Eleven members of the Class of 2019 were honored by their teammates, families, and coaches for their hard work.
"They've dedicated four years of their lives to this," said head coach Brad Smith. "To send them off knowing what they've done for our program, the kind of representatives they've been for our university it's a special day for these guys and girls."
The Bearcats now have three weeks to prepare for the America East Championships.
