JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. -

Two arrests have been made in connection to a violent burglary in Johnson City Sunday.

Johnson City Police arrested Antonio J. Jenkins, 20, and Tarhesha Y. Smith, 49, both of Endicott and charged them with Burglary in the second degree after the two and a third suspect broke into an apartment at Main Street Terrace around 1:30 a.m. on January 6, 2019.

According to police, the residents of the apartment were home at the time of the break in.

Police say the suspects assaulted one of the residents, broke several items in the apartment, and stole property before fleeing from the scene when one of the residents called police.

Jenkins and Smith were later located at their residence by the Endicott Police Department. Johnson City Officers responded and transported them back to Johnson City.

Jenkins and Smith were taken to Central Arraignment and were remanded to the Broome County Jail.

Police are still looking for the third suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
