Sessoms Breaks School-Record Against ColumbiaPosted: Updated:
Vestal, N.Y. - Binghamton University Men's basketball team will enter America East play on Saturday with a record of 4-11. The Bearcats haven't had much bright spots in their early season, losing six of their last seven games. However, freshman Sam Sessoms has certainly shown his talent on the court, averaging 17.5 points a game, totaling 262 points throughout 15 games.
Last night, the rookie broke a school-record, scoring seven 3's on Columbia in the second half (7-of-8 3-pt). Sessoms scored 15 points in a six-minute stretch to lead BU's rally from 19 points down. The Philadelphia native tallied 25 points and outshined the 20-point mark for the fifth time this season.
Binghamton opens America East play on Saturday when the Bearcats host New Hampshire at 2 p.m. at the Events Center.
