Devils Sign Evan Cormier to Amateur Tryout, Makes Professional Debut

Evan Cormier made his professional debut for the Binghamton Devils on the same day of the club announced his signing to a amateur tryout. The goaltender made his professional debut this evening, and saved all 21 shots he faced. The twenty-one-year old goaltender was a 2016 fourth-round draft pick for the New Jersey Devils, and attended their development camp in 2016 and 2017. This season, the Ontario native played thirteen games for the University of Guelph, with a 2.27 goals against average and a .926 save percentage. Prior to that, Cormier played four seasons with the Ontario Hockey League's Saginaw Spirit
