South Bend, I.N. - The Binghamton women's basketball team traveled to the Joyce Center to take on the no. 2 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish and fell to the defending NCAA Division I Champions 103-53. The Fighting Irish were the Bearcats' highest-ranked opponent in their 18 year NCAA Division I era. Sunday marked the first matchup between the two teams.
Binghamton was only down by ten at the end of the first quarter but went on to lose by fifty points.
Their road trip continues with a prime time matchup at Marquette on Monday night. The men's team will also have their opportunity to play in the Joyce Center on Tuesday night.
