SYRACUSE, N.Y. -

The Susquehanna Valley Sabers ended their undefeated season with a perfect record on Friday night, and the school's first ever state title. The Class C matchup between the Sabers and Dobbs Ferry of Section I ended in a dominant win with a 27-6 finish.

Jarred Freije recorded three touchdowns and a game-ending interception with less than a minute left in the game secured SV's spot in the record books. He went on to receive MVP honors, with Dan Wager and Trevor Frable receiving the Outstanding Defensive Lineman and Outstanding Offensive Linemen awards respectively.

Susquehanna Valley was the only team in Section IV to represent at the NYSPHSAA State Championship.

"I'm just proud of the kids, proud to bring it back to our school and Saber Nation is going to be very happy," said head coach Mike Ford. "It was a very unselfish effort."
