Binghamton Women's Basketball Defeats Caldwell CougarsPosted: Updated:
Binghamton (3-2) defeated Caldwell (0-2) 73-54 in a non-conference matchup in the Events Center on Sunday afternoon. For the first time since December, 21, 2017 that five Bearcats scored in the double digits. Junior guard Kai Moon had the game high of 20-points, finishing 7-for-13, including 4-of-7 three pointers, and 18 of which were scored in the first half. It was her fourth career game reaching 20 points, and the second this season.
The team had a season-high 19 assists during Sunday's game and was 28-61 (46.3 percent) from the field. Senior forward Rebecca Carmody had 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Carly Boland, a junior guard, scored 13 points, nine rebounds, a pair of assists, a block and a steal. For the third time this season, sophomore forward Olivia Ramil scored ten points, and sophomore forward Kaylee Wasco scored a career-high 11 points off the bench.
Sunday afternoon was the first time the Bearcats and Cougars have ever competed. The game begins a four game series in the Event Center, with the Bearcats hosting Lehigh on Wednesday afternoon.
