The third week of Section IV High School Football is nearly over, with powerhouse teams like Chenango Forks and Maine-Endwell remaining undefeated.

Local high school football is now just 5 games away from ending the season, and some teams are starting to feel the pressure to make a push in order to reach the NY State playoffs, Friday, October 26.

Noteworthy statistics:

Greene's (2-1) shutout victory over Unatego/Franklin (1-2) is the first shutout game of the 2018 Section IV Football season.

B-G's (3-0) Evan Hyzer only aired the ball 9 times, going 5 for 9 and picking up 3 TD. One touchdown he threw through the air, and scored two on the ground.

Chenango Forks' (3-0) QB, Jakob Topa, scored a gut-busting 86 yard TD run off a QB option. He also found his teammate, RB Lucas Scott, for a 53 yard connection. Lucas Scott had a pair of TD (2) in the victory over Owego (2-1).
